Donor Program
The Northern Illinois Fire Museum has started a DONOR Program for anyone interested in making a donation to aid in keeping the museum open for future generations to visit and learn. These donations can come from anyone, civilian, firefighter, friend, family member, etc.
There will be a special section in the museum where these people’s names will be listed under the appropriate donor area. Depending upon the donation amount, they will be classified as Chief, Deputy Chief, Captain, Lieutenant or Firefighter. These classifications are:
Chief: $10,000 to $200,000
Deputy Chief: $5,000 to $9,999
Captain: $1,000 to $4,999
Lieutenant: $250 to $999
Firefighter: $100 to $249
This is the opportunity to show your desire to keep the Northern Illinois Fire Museum operating for years to come. All these donations are tax deductible as we are a 501(c)3 and have the forms to give you for your tax deduction. A museum is a very expensive business to operate and depends upon donations from the public The museum has pretty much the same types of bills that every household has, except that the museums are a lot bigger. This was a dream of several firefighters over 20 years ago. It has come a long way since it was envisioned. We must do whatever we can to keep it alive and make it even better
